To Jeanine's family: I was Jeanine's neighbor when she was at The Bentley in 102. I just loved your Mom. She was lively and free-spirited. Her memory was still OK enough to live on her own. She was a wonderful painter and convinced me to give it a try. Robbie, You and I spent an afternoon painting and you are as natural a painter as your Mom, I remember being impressed with your novice painting. I haven't painted since Jeanine moved because it was no fun without her. (The picture I uploaded was when she was doing one of your cottage).
Jeanine wanted to hit the road occasionally so we'd jump in my car. To Brum's for an ice-cream, to her cottage during the fall as she wanted me to see the shore and what she was painting. Another time she wanted to show me where she lived in her earlier years. We drove around Pembroke, up and down the streets, but she couldn't quite remember where it was.
When Jeanine got her walker, she was off to the mall. She called her walker her new Cadiillac and occasionally I'd go with her to keep her company.
When Jeanine moved to Heritage Manor, I went to see her several times. She befriended Elwood and they were very good for each other - she would help him with his mobility challenges and he would help her find the words/times/places with her memory. One time I called her the night before and she was sharp as a whistle, instantly knew who I was and was excited for me to visit the next day. When I arrived, she was with Elwood watching the Christmas concert and had forgotten I was coming. So we watched it together and had a lovely visit though I wasn't sure if she did ever remember who I was. That was Jeanine, always polite and welcoming and up for a visit.
I would have loved to see Jeanine again, as I'm sure your family did too, but Covid has been especially unkind for our seniors.
When Jeanine was painting, showed me her portfolio. I took pictures of everything, printed them, and we put them in a book for her. I'm hoping you'll find it, she was very talented. And if any of the family would like a copy, I'd be happy to get them for you (they're on my camera).
I have very fond memories of Jeanine and wish you peace as you adjust to life without her. Thank you for sharing her a little with me.

PS>. I didn't realize the photo's I uploaded would display in real-time. They were her best works. If they're interfering with yours, I won't be offended if you remove them!

Jeanine was a remarkably wonderful woman with a scintillating smile that would light up any room . She embodied an engaging personality that put everyone at ease. Accommodating , affable , charming, gracious and kind hearted are just a few of the attributes that come to mind while thinking of Jeanine.
Most sincere condolences to Robby and Connie, Paul,Peter, Jeff and the entire Redmond family .
You have lost your marvellous matriarch but immortality has gained a beautiful soul where Jeanine will be re-united with the absolute love of her life , her husband Des !

To All of Aunt Jeanine’s Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Aunt Jeanine’s passing. Aunt Jeanine was a warm , loving person and we have such fond memories, especially from the cottage. A favorite memory is, - if ever our children were missing we only had to go to Aunt Jeanine’s and there they would be eating ice cream! In later years, Katie, Becky and cousin Kirsten would go for sleepovers with Aunt Jeanine. May your cherished memories ease the sadness you feel today. We celebrate her and a life well lived! You are in our thoughts,
Bev, Mike and Family
