Retired Gunner, RCHA, Military Police,
Security with AECL and Commissionaire Garrison Petawawa
At the Pembroke Regional Hospital, with his loving family at his side on Monday December 7, 2020 at the age of 76 years. Gene Hill , born in New Perlican NFLD and now of Petawawa, beloved husband of Monica (nee Janzon). Loved father to Annette Deery (Phil), Brockville and Robin Hill (Jody), Pembroke. Loving grandfather of Liam, Meara, Sara, Samantha and Sabrina. Dear brother of Phyllis Smith (late Charles) and the late Albert Hill. Son of the late Gene Sigmund and Phyllis (nee Mills) Hill. Gene will be sadly missed by all his relatives in Sweden, his nieces, nephews and many friends. Respecting Gene’s wishes cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date. In memory of Gene donations to Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of the Murphy Funeral Home, Pembroke.

Dear Monica and Family
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Gene. I have know Gene for a long time and had served with him in the artillery until he went Mil Police. Ran into Gene at arty reunions and it was nice to see he never lost his sense of humor and he was always fun to be around. May he rest in peace.
