Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital with her family at her bed side on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in her 54th year. Candace “Candy” Conroy (nee Gleason), was the loving wife of Ron for 31 years. Daughter of Maisie Gleason (nee Keon) and predeceased by her father Christopher Gleason. Candy was most proud of her three children, Christopher (Amanda), Ryan (Keira), and Scott (Andrea), and grandson Luca.
Candy will be deeply missed by many of her brothers and sisters- in- law, Patricia (Larry), Karen (Paul), Tim (Elizabeth), Barry (Julie), and Trevor (Seanna). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Candy was also blessed with many great friends who supported her right until her last day.
Candy’s favourite moments were spent at the family camp on Esher Lake. At the lake, you would likely find the family dog, Trigger, by her side. She had a passion for helping children in need and was always generous in her donations.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Candy with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Sunday 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday December 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 280 Lourdesview Dr., Pembroke.
DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OF THE COVID-19 PROTOCOLS, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY GIVEN TIME - FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND FUNERAL MASS. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery. Candy would like donations in her memory made to the Darlene Aikens Fund or the Lucie Webb Scholarship Fund.
