It is with profound sadness that the family wish to announce the passing of John Collier of Petawawa. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Dianne; sons Chris, and Trevor (Terry) and grandchildren Nick, Lexie, Sophie and Olivia. He is also survived by siblings, Judy, Thelma, Pam and Ken (Joan) all of Nova Scotia. As per John’s wishes he has been cremated. Due to Covid 19 there will be no wake or gathering. A family burial will take place at a later date. John always faced his medical challenges head on. His strength and determination defined who he was. He fought several battles but brain cancer was one he couldn’t win. Arrangements entrusted to the Murphy Funeral Home, Pembroke.

Our sincere condolences to the Collier family. Danny and I will have a Tim’s coffee in memory of John. We had some good laughs when conversing with this fine man at Tim’s. ❤️

So saddened to hear of John's passing and my sincerest condolences to Dianne and family. Thinking of him, his strength in the face of adversity...and, after all these years, still hearing his voice and words of advice to a young junior Military Engineer officer brings a smile to my face! Rest in peace John.

Dear Dianne, We ware so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was such fun at cards on Tuesday and Friday nights. We teased him endlessly but he always took it in stride. Please know that we will remember you and your family in prayer in the days to come. Hugs
