It is with immeasurable sadness that the family of June Kenny (Howard) announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, September 6, 2020, surrounded, as she so enjoyed, by the love of herchildren and best friend. Predeceased by her husband, Bryan, with whom she had shared 60 happy years. June would say that her greatest accomplishment was her 7 children: Paul (Cheryl), Brenda (Terry Miller), Stephen (Karen), Terry (Charlene), Karen (Ian Bromley), Paula (Jason Rolston), and Jane (Matt Chaput). Grannie/Nanny kept the candy bowl filled and the chip cupboard stocked for her grandchildren: Todd (Cheryl), Phillip (Amanda), Derek (Mandi), Jared (Trista), Bryana, Laura (Dustin Belaire), Emma, Brett, Olivia, Tara, Joanne (Henk Schuurman), Kaylee, Tyson (Alanna), Kade, Lexie, Bryn, and Ayla, and her 29 great-grandchildren. June was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Lorena Howard, her brother, Harry and grandson, Stephen. She was blessed with 3 very special “sisters” and best friends: Marilyn Robillard (Kenny), Kathy Brown (Kenny), and Eva Howard as well as a very special aunt, Helen Farrell. June enjoyed 40 plus years behind the counter of the family business, Kenny’s Store, which couldn’t have survived without her dedication. When she wasn’t at the store, June loved to fill her table or front veranda with family and friends. Friends are invited to share their memories of June with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, on Thursday, September 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke, on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. followed by cremation.
