Sister Muriel Rennick (Sister Francis Marie), a Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, ON died in Pembroke on the 22nd day of March in the 61st year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, and many devoted nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Francis and Bridget (Leahy), her brothers, Father Francis Rennick of the Pembroke Diocese, Jack, Michael, Bernard, Gerald, Harold, Emmett, and her sister, Anne Lynch. Sister Muriel was born in Eganville on April 17, 1930. Following a business education, she was employed in Ottawa by the Toronto Dominion Bank and for seven years, in the Department of Defence Construction for the Canadian Government. She entered the Community on September 12, 1959, pronouncing final vows on August 14, 1964. A profession of education led her to schools in Ottawa and Pembroke. Following study in Administration, in 1971, she was assigned as Administrator of Marianhill Residence (1971-1983). Other services included Pastoral Care, General Hospital, Sault Ste. Marie, Assistant Administrator at Youville Residence, Vancouver, and music ministry at the Motherhouse, as well as positions of Leadership in several convents. Her final years were lived peacefully at Shalom Residence, Pembroke.
