I only knew. Melinda for a couple of months, but they were very wonderful months. She and i were becoming good friends and then God called her home. I will miss my new friend , but She is at peace now. Until we meet again Melinda. R.i.p. dear friend.

I remember sleepovers at Aunt Melinda’s bachelorette apartment. Just me and her. She made you feel like a big-girl girlfriend of hers, grown up and equal to her...even though you were just 6 or 8 years old. I thought she was cool. And she made me feel like a wanted guest. She had a great dollhouse as part of her decor. Very detailed with tiny tub, tiny chandeliers, tiny rugs. It was magical.
Later on, I admired her love of her cats. I remember Nermal and Odie, etc. I am a cat fanatic too , and could relate.
That’s who I remember: Melinda will always be the cool young hip Melinda. Who travelled to sunny locales like the Bahamas on her holidays, and was a secretary for the school system. Hard to believe she is gone.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Karl, Sarah, and Hannah. Your mom, Sandra, and I back in the day caused enough trouble to make your hair curl LOL Those were the days. I will cherish the memories. I know your mom had her issues but who doesn't. Just know your mom loved you more than anything in this world. Her face would light up talking about you and the grandchildren. RIP Melinda

Melinda’s family we are so sorry to hear about her passing., Although we have not seen her in several years, when ever we did meet ,she always had a tremendous smile and was always interested in our families. She held a real soft spot in the hearts of our late parents Uncle Victor and Aunt Verna. She was so pleased several years ago when we took Victor to visit her in Pembroke. Hold onto the memories and they will brighten the sad days. From Isabel and Ron Chapman
