Delbert was one of several Pembroke and area men who joined up for the war effort on the same day. They were put into the same unit and went in to battle in the initial D-Day landing. All survived the war but sadly their ranks have dwindled. Only one remains. Rest In Peace my friend. For your service to our country you deserve eternal rest and peace.

What can I say Uncle Delbert....there are too many cherished memories to post on this memory wall. I will always remember your amazing sense of humour and our many Christmas dinners shared. Your love for hunting and fishing was thoroughly enjoyed by us with every delicious treat be it moose, or pickerel . I hope you rest peacefully and thank you for your service to our beautiful country and for being an awesome big brother to my mom, Viola who will be waiting for you with open arms.

Love you always....Wendy Drebit

My condolences to the family. I remember Delbert when he hunted with my Dad many years ago. He was always smiling. I am sure he will be hunting again in the great forest in the sky with my Dad. Bev Mau
