Our Mother, Joan Charette (nee Furlong) was a childhood friend of “Kitty”. She tells us stories of how they did there homework together, and how their mother’s were the best of friends. Mom visited Sister awhile back, while she was still able to, and quite enjoyed reminiscing. Another connection with Sister, is that while she was the pastoral assistant in Oshawa, at St. Mary of the People, she personally instructed my husband, Darryl, while converting to the Roman Catholic faith. It was a very special time for us, and Mom was very touched by it, also. She was a very special person for sure, and touched many lives in her devotion to her chosen vocation.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of 'Aunt' Kitty. She was a pillar in our family, and the last of a generation. Her devotion to religious life is truly inspiring and we hope that when reunited with her parents and siblings, it will be a good day in Heaven! Here on earth, we will celebrate her many accomplishments and the times that we spent together. Rest in peace.
